Game Development Intern

Support BORIZENT in developing original games and interactive experiences using Unreal Engine and other suitable game-development technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with gameplay mechanics, systems and prototypes
  • Develop features using visual scripting or programming languages
  • Support character movement, combat and ability systems
  • Integrate characters, animations, environments and game assets
  • Assist with user interfaces, menus and player controls
  • Test, debug and optimise gameplay performance
  • Use Git or another version-control system to manage project files
  • Document implemented features and technical decisions
  • Collaborate with game designers, artists and other developers

Requirements

  • Interest in game development and interactive experiences
  • Basic experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, Godot or another game engine
  • Understanding of Blueprints, C++, C#, GDScript or general programming concepts
  • Basic knowledge of gameplay systems and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with Unreal Engine is particularly helpful
  • Familiarity with Git or version control is an advantage
  • Good problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and work independently
  • A portfolio, playable prototype or GitHub project is preferred
